Phospholipids

Upon completion of this module, you should be able to identify types of lipids and their structure. Just as fats are a lipid, the other two categories of lipids are phospholipids and steroids. The plasma membrane behaves as a barrier between the inside of cells and their surroundings. Phospholipids are specialized lipids and a significant part of the plasma membrane.
